(My) Fashion Over 40 ~ Curve Balls of Life

Well, we had a bit of a curve ball this weekend....  But I'll share more of that in a minute. And that's why I'm a day late with (My) Fashion Over 40, but here it is!! :)

(My) Fashion Over 40

I absolutely love this dress!  It is so comfortable and easy to wear.  What's funny is at church on Sunday, I got so many compliments on it, but I've had it forever!  But I guess, I only wear it about once or twice a summer.  So, it's like its new all over again.  :)  This is another one of my "classic" pieces.  I think this dress will always be in style.  Also it made of my favorite fabric, jersey knit. This fabric, washes perfect, never wrinkles, never fades and lasts forever!! Love, Love, Love!!

Oh, and those red mary jane shoes... You're gonna laugh... They are hand me downs from my daughter. I like them, and I think they work with this dress.

Okay, now are you ready for the curve ball.  Hubby's been dealing with a dizzy spell here and there, but this weekend, it blew up into full fledge vertigo.

Working on the garage, Saturday, it really hit him. Kinda made me nervous.  I'm glad he decided to stay home and call the Dr., considering he drives a tractor trailer for a living.  There are so many causes for it. So, we went to the Dr. yesterday, and he has Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)its a very common type of vertigo.  We went to physical therapy also yesterday and they did the Epley Maneuver.  He is feeling MUCH better, thank you LORD!

You never know what life is going to throw your way.  I'm truly thankful that I am a follower of Christ, because I know that whatever does come my way is NEVER a surprise to God, and He knows what I can and cannot handle.  He is always faithful to be there to support me, carry me, encourage me.  I could not imagine my life without the constant love and grace Christ gives me.

Yeah, this wasn't a huge curve ball, and I believe Hubs will be fine.  We just need to remember to trust in Christ through all the innings of life, from the home runs to the strike outs.

Hebrews 13:5(NLT)
I will never fail you.  I will never abandon you.

Blessings,

  1. Love, love, love that dress! for so many reasons! I accept hand-me-ups from my daughter too. Hey, what happened to your husband happened to me about 5 years ago. When my doctor couldn't see me that day, I went to the ER because I thought I might be having a stroke. They found a small brain tumor on the MRI but the neuro guy didn't think that was causing my extreme and sudden vertigo. They never figured out what it was but it went away in about two weeks. I searched on the internet and I finally diagnosed myself with that BPPV. It has never come back, thankfully. Take hope!
