Hello, friends!! If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my 'Quick Everyday Makeup'. I really did it just for fun. I didn't think anyone would actually watch it, especially all the way through!! 😂 🤣 😂
If you missed the video and want to see it, go to my Instagram profile and you'll see little pink circles. The first one says 'Quick Everyday Make Up'. I think you'll get a good laugh! 😜
First of all let me just put this out there... I am not a beauty blogger! Definitely not a professional! I'm just a simple gal over 50 that enjoys makeup! 😍 This is the real me! No filters, no wrinkle smoothing. It's just what happens when we age... 🤷🏻♀️
I got so many comments and questions, that I thought I'd put together a little blog post on it.
For the most part, I use drugstore products and will link them all here. I'm very frugal (AKA CHEAP!!) and I just can't see spending big bucks on makeup that really doesn't perform any better than the cheaper stuff that I can pick up at Walmart, Target or even Amazon.
Usually, I can put this quick makeup look on in about 15-20 minutes... with no interruptions!
Here's the list of products and they are linked to Amazon: (Amazon Affiliate Links)
L'Oreal Magic BB Cream - I love this for a quick foundation. It magically matches your skin tone and just kind of smooths everything out. I use the shade 'Light'. It has a sheer coverage.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer - This concealer does the job. It blends in easily and covers those dark circles.
Kat Von D Lock It Setting Powder - I can't say this is my ultimate favorite powder, but it's the one I'm reaching for right now. I use this with my fingers to pat powder onto the concealer under my eyes and on any 'wrinkles'. I feel that the heat from my fingers along with the powder, seems to set the makeup so it won't settle into wrinkles. 👍 . Then I use my big fluffy brush and dust my entire face to set makeup.
Maybelline Master Contour Kit - I've had this for almost 2 years! And it's still going strong! I use the bronzer to contour my cheekbones, nose, forehead, and under my jawline. The blush goes next. Then the highlighter.
L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender - I really like this setting spray. The mist is super fine and it definitely does the job. My makeup is still going strong after 8+ hours!
Wet N Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer - Yes, I've used Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer and to be honest, I don't think that it's much better.... This is my second tube and you only use a tiny dot of it for both eyes. I use it right after the setting spray. I feel it helps keep my eyeshadow in check.
Wet N Wild Eyeshadow in Brulee - I use this as a eyeshadow base. It's a light neutral color. I try to put this on before my eyeshadow primer completely dries.
Back to the Maybelline Master Contour Kit. I use this for my eyeshadow for a quick look. I dip my angled brush into the bronzer and blush and use it in the crease of my eye. Simple and quick!
Rimmel Brow This Way - I use this as my eyeliner... I know it's for your eyebrows and I have used it for that also. I find it's a bit dark for me in the brow department. Anyhoos... I use the gel side with an Elf Angled Brush to create my eyeliner, then use another little brush to add the powder to soften it up.
Wet N Wild Eyeshadow in Panther - This eyeshadow is perfect with the Elf Angled Brush. I wet the brush, dip into the eyeshadow, tap off, then apply it at the base of my lashes.
L'Oreal Voluminous False Fiber Lashes Mascara - I really like this mascara. I like the long thing wand. (That way I don't seem to poke myself in the eye! 😜) It adds length and volume. I prefer the waterproof one.
L'Oreal Butterfly Sculpt Mascara - This wand is amazing! I just love it. I'm able to get super close to the roots of my lashes and make them full looking. Also in the waterproof.
IT Cosmetics Brow Power - I've had this forever! I like that its easy to use and give me just the right amount of color, not too dark, not too light. I am interested in trying the Elf version of this.
Ardell Magnetic Accent Lashes - I am hooked. I love them! I the accents and the full ones. I will have to say that I cut them down for my eyes. The shape of everyone's eyes are different. Some of the full lashes are too long, so I cut them to fit my eyes. I find the more I use them, the easier they are to put on. The newer ones also have their magnets hidden better. Super easy. I'll be doing a tutorial on them soon.
Let me know if you have any questions! The best way to get a question to me is email.
