But first, we had a wonderful time down in North Carolina visiting family! And instead of sharing my Fashion Over 40, I must share the latest and most trendy 'Frozen Fashion'! ;) This little princess was the star of the weekend!
As you may know this 'Frozen Fashion' is the HIT of every little girl I've come across. I find it so sweet and adorable! This little princess turned 3 years old and she definitely knows how to work that dress with some sass! :)
My daughter was free that weekend so we picked her up in Virginia to come along.
I love spending time with family, and it was so good to see my nephew, his wife and family. They are all so loving and hospitable.
There are 3 ways people approach planning.
1. With their hands up (like when some one says, "put your hands up") They are hoping things get done, hoping they don't forget appointments, hoping it all works out in the end.
2. Closed fisted. They cling to their plans. Protective, nothing gets in the way.
3. Palms open like in surrender. They surrender their plans to God.
He asked if you are a "Hoper" or a "Planner"? I'd like to think I'm a planner.
Proverbs 16:1-3 (NLT)
1 We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer. 2 People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives. 3 Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.
If we are a Christ follower, then God is the one who directs our plans, He gets the final say.
We plan for the same reason we pray. To align ourselves with God. To get on His agenda. Our planning must be paired with trust and faith. God's planning is purposeful and intentional. We have to trust, God sees the entire picture. We only get glimpses here and there.
Proverbs 15:22 (MSG)
Refuse good advice and watch your plans fail; Take good counsel and watch them succeed.
It is important that we ask for counsel in our lives, Godly counsel. Wisdom will protect us from making the greatest and the gravest mistakes of our lives. Don't just go to people that will tell you what you want to hear. Go to people that will tell you what you need to hear.
Proverbs 21:5 (NLT)
Good planning and hard work lead to prosperity, but hasty shortcuts lead to poverty.
Godly planners are diligent and patient. Sometimes we need to take our time. Make sure we follow through. Don't be hasty. Planning can be godly when we partner with God.
Being a follower of Christ, I want to plan to build His kingdom, not my own.
This was definitely some good food for thought.
