My Skincare Favorites For More Mature Skin
Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference!I'm over 50 now, and along with that fantabulous age 😉 (yes, I just made up that word) there have been some definite changes to my skin. My skin is much drier, even though I've always had dry skin. I don't know how much drier it can get?? And I have many more 'smile' lines. 😊 Hey, I like to smile. Of course, I'm doing my best to combat the affects of smiling so much...lol.
Anyway, I thought I'd share what skin care products I am loving right now. By the way... this is NOT a sponsored post, no one is paying me for my opinion. This is all me. Now I'm including links so you can take a look a the product or purchase it. That is called an affiliate link, which I may get a tinsie tiny bit commission. (We're talking pennies... not the big bucks 😋)
1. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream
This stuff is the bomb! My face was flaky and peeling. This cream totally saved it. I love it! I can't say enough good! I use the Ultra Repair Cream every single day.
2. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Hydrating Serum
I actually just started using this and I LOVE IT! I use it right before the Ultra Repair Cream. It just feels sooo nice. 💛
(There is only one product that I've tried of First Aid Beauty that I did not like and that was the sunscreen lotion for the face. That just didn't go on nice and was sticky and splotchy. Foundation didn't play well with it.)
3. Rimmel Lash Accelerator
I was a skeptic. I didn't really have much expectation for this product. But a blogger friend of mine recommended it, so I thought I'd give it a try. Surprisingly... I liked it. I've been using it for a couple of months and I feel like I've noticed a difference in my lashes. They feel longer and I feel like I have more of them, especially on my lower lash line. You can even use this on your eyebrows. Mine have always been thin. I really don't have to pluck much, never have. But they've been getting sparse. Nice, right? No... So, it feels like they are a little thicker. Sometimes, I think is this all in my mind or is it real...
4. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All in 1 Waterproof
It's important to point out the waterproof. I use this with my make removing wipes. This cleansing water makes taking off mascara so much easier! Even the waterproof kind! Seriously, it's amazing!
5. Lil Scrubbies Facial Cleaning Pad
These little guys work hard! I've seen so many face 'scrubbers' that are kind of pricey. These are under $3 and do an incredible job! I use them in the shower with a facial cleanser and my face feels fabulous! It's gentle but get's the job done. Love it!
6. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Liquid Sunscreen
I started using this back in the spring. It's pretty awesome! It's not like any other sunscreen I've used. Not even close to the flop I shared in #2. This is completely liquid. You have to shake it before use and it comes out as a 'runny' liquid, but it smooths so nicely over my face. Soaks right in. This sunscreen has played well with my primers and foundations, thankfully! I usually like to give it a few minutes to dry before I start on my primer and foundation. I really feel like it does the job.
So, those are some of my favorites. 😍
Next up, I want to share some of my make up favorites.
Blessings!
