My Fashion Over 40 ~ Stay Strong In The Faith

Well, today is Hubs birthday!  A quick shout out to my sweet man, Happy Birthday! This is us a couple of weeks ago visiting our daughter at Liberty University. Love this man!

Me and hubs
I didn't feel the greatest this weekend, stupid head cold. I wasn't sure I was going to make it to church on Sunday, but (thank you, Lord) I felt pretty okay.  So, I was going easy and comfy.

My Fashion Over 40

I love the pattern on this shirt. I picked it up at a thrift store, probably a year ago or more. Same black dress pants (still the only pair of dress pants I own).  Of course you know I'm going to add a sweater, since I'm constantly cold....

My Fashion Over 40

I picked this one up at Ross. It has a long collar in front that drapes nice. I was comfy and warm.

I've been struggling trying to find the right place to take shots in the house.  It's too cold outside. Finding the right lighting is tough. As you can see with the washed out window....Plus, I'm still playing with my manual camera settings. :) My daughter will be proud of me.

Only 16 days til both of my children will be home for Thanksgiving! I can not wait to see their faces and to squeeze them tightly. I wish they were closer, praying one day that will happen.

~ ~ ~ Stay Strong In The Faith ~ ~ ~

I can't believe that our Pastor will be leaving us in 2 weeks. I felt this week's message encouraged me to stay strong in my faith.

That I need to hold on to the teachings of Christ and stand firm in my beliefs.  I have strong convictions and I want to live by them.  There are some things that are just plain wrong, the Bible says they are wrong and that will not change no matter what the news, the government or what people may say.

This can be a crazy world we live in, but I believe that the God I serve, never gets overwhelmed or concerned about the affairs of this world. He isn't scared or shocked by what's happening. He's there for me and hears me anytime of day.

My faith isn't believing hard enough, it's believing in a God thats big enough to handle all of life! That's why I trust in Him completely!

This verse give me such peace.
Romans 8:38 (NLT)
And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.

Blessings,
